ITINERARY:

KOTA KINABALU - KINABALU PARK     (-/L/-)

DAY 1 Depart your hotel in Kota Kinabalu, for a 2-hour drive along the ridges of the Crocker Range, to arrive at the Kinabalu Park. Join in the guided walk along one of the forest trails to get a first hand impression of the Park and its unique flora before visiting the Mountain Garden with its collection of orchids and plants that are unique to Kinabalu. Watch a slide show on the natural wonders of the park after lunch. In the afternoon, after the slide show, explore more of the forest in the park. Dinner and overnight in twin-bedded rooms. 

KINABALU PARK - LABAN RATA     (B/L/-)

DAY 2 After breakfast meet your Mountain Guide at 8:00 AM at the Park Headquarters and proceed to the summit trail.  The summit trail leads you through the tropical oak and chestnut forest, mossy forest and up to the sub-alpine forest. Look for rhododendrons, pitcher plants, orchids and other flora native to this area. Shelters along the way allow you to enjoy your packed lunch amidst the cool mountain air. Spend the night in a rest house at the elevation of approximately 3,200 m above sea level.

LABAN RATA - KINABALU PARK     (B/L/-)

DAY 3 Depart at 3:00 AM and proceed to the summit for sunrise. Return to Laban Rata for breakfast before descending to Park HQ for lunch. Overnight in twin-bedded accommodation.

KINABALU PARK - KOTA KINABALU     (B/L/-)

DAY 4 Depart the park at 8:30 AM for Poring Hot Springs. Spend the day exploring the tropical rainforest, trek to the canopy walkway and have a dip in the hot sulphur waters. Lunch at Poring. At 2:30 PM depart for Kota Kinabalu and return to your hotel.
